Boot2Gecko Renamed Firefox OS ? Sprint, ZTE On Board For 2013 Launch
Boot2Gecko is dead -- in name, anyway. On Monday, Mozilla announced that it is changing the name of its Boot2Gecko mobile operating system to Firefox OS. And in announcing both hardware and telecommunications partners, Mozilla revealed a plan to go after low-end phone buyers in emerging markets.
